This is the 13th highest mountain in New Hampshire. It has a fire tower located on the summit that provides spectacular 360 degree views.

Mt. Carrigain is a 4,700 foot mountain located in Livermore, New Hampshire. The summit has a fire tower providing 360 degree views. My husband and I hiked this mountain on a beautiful October morning. While climbing the mountain, my husband and myself saw a bird that was continually following us up the mountain. We learned from another hiker that these were called "gray jays" and that they would eat right out if your hand! starting point is at the parking lot on Sawyer River Road on route 302. Head up the Signal Ridge Trail for 1.7 miles until you come to a junction with the Carrigain Notch Trail. Continue up the Signal Ridge Trail for 3.3 miles by bearing left at the junction where you will reach the summit of Mount Carrigain.
