Must do’s in Miami
Culture, outdoors, excellent food scene, and vibrant blue water
My husband and I spent a few days in Miami earlier this year and had a great time. Being a West Coast fan girl, I wasn’t expecting the ocean to be such a vibrant blue and to have such a good time! The drivers were just as crazy if not more aggressive than Californians, but overall, we had a fun time.
-Hit up Wynwood.
Wynwood is south of the Design District. Grab a coffee from a local shop like Panther Coffee and then head over to Wynwood Walls while you sip on it. Wander wherever your heart desires as you soak in the street art. There are both indoor and outdoor displays. Take a bunch of pictures and work up an appetite for lunch.
My husband and I still talk about the food we had at The Taco Stand. He claims he had the best burrito of his life here. We went here twice during our short stay in Miami because the food was so good and it was very reasonably priced. Plus, we really liked the Wynwood neighborhood.
There are so many breweries to choose from in Miami. In Wynwood we would recommend J. Wakefield Brewing , especially if you are a Star Wars fan. Additionally, check out Box Elder if you are like me and not a beer drinker. They had wine and cider options. Also, they had a craft-made popcorn with dill that was delicious! Wynwood Brewing is another brewery that had cider on tap that we enjoyed and played a board game at.
Other things I would recommend:
-Free tour at the Biltmore. This only takes place on Sundays, you can find more info on that here.
-Beach day at Biscayne Bay. If you want to get started early, watch the sunrise here.
-Go to the Everglades. If you don’t have a car, there’s plenty of tour options.
-Beach day at South Beach; when you are in Miami you need several beach days!

Relax in the heat, soak up the culture and the breathtaking views. This is one of those cities that you can basically live outdoors!
