Volunteering on the CDT in Montana
Augusta, Montana
Description
Added by Patty Bartholomew
Work on our national forest trails. So much fun and adventure with the trail crew bosses from the Montana Wilderness Association. Is it hard work? You bet it is, but naps rejuvenate you for the remainder of the day. Food is delivered by volunteer pack trains and it's fresh and delicious.
We worked in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. The hikes in accommodated all speeds. The tools are all provided, you just bring your best back and strongest arms. Learning how to use the crosscut saw was a milestone for me. It's an experience that you won't want to miss. You'll never walk a trail again without appreciating the tread of the trail or cleared views of these pristine places.
