Nestled within the expansive Elm Creek Park Reserve, the Eastman Nature Center Loop offers visitors a serene 2.0-mile trail through diverse habitats, including sugar maple floodplain forests and wetlands. This loop is ideal for birdwatching, hiking, and nature observation, providing an immersive outdoor experience for all ages.
Hours of Operation:
• Eastman Nature Center Building:
• Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Elm Creek Park Reserve:
• Open daily from 5:00 AM–10:00 PM
Fees and Permits:
Access to the Eastman Nature Center Loop and Elm Creek Park Reserve is free; no permits or entrance fees are required. However, certain activities within the park, such as equipment rentals or specialized programs, may incur additional fees.
Visitor Amenities:
• Eastman Nature Center: Features interactive exhibits, wildlife viewing areas, reading and observation rooms, and an open-air deck.
• Nature Play Area: Designed for children to explore and engage with the natural environment.
• Trail Features: The loop includes a floating boardwalk, pond observation blind, and access to various habitats, enhancing the hiking experience.
Directions:
From I-94, exit at Maple Grove Parkway and turn north. Turn right on County Road 81 for approximately 0.3 miles. For the Eastman Nature Center, turn left on County Road 121/Fernbrook Lane, then right on Elm Creek Road; the nature center is about 0.6 miles ahead.
