Swift River Fly Fishing
Amherst, Massachusetts
Description

Beautiful River, Outstanding Fishing
We drove an hour and half at 5am to get on the river for the sunrise. It was a warm day and the foliage was amazing. The river is restricted for fly fishing and catch and release only. It is stocked fairly regularly with decent sized rainbows and some holdover brookies and large brown trout. We fished for 6 hours and unfortunately didn't have much luck. Our group only hooked two fish, but we can't wait to go back. The fish are very picky because of the constant fishing there. If you are up for a challenge, this river is the place for you. It is all about matching the hatch.
