Description

One of the most popular hikes in Acadia National Park. The family friendly/dog friendly Jordan Pond Loop offers easy views of the Bubble Rock Formation and the lush woods.
***During the summer and fall months be prepared for crowds***
Starting out from the Jordan Pond House a beautiful meadow leads you down to the water where the hike begins. Heading to the left quickly brings you to a mile long boardwalk section of trail. Watch your step as there is often a gap between the boards.
Later on the trail opens up to a wetland and a bridge will take you over a small waterway at the north of the pond. At this point the trail rewards you for making it passed the halfway mark. Your path back to the Jordan Pond House now widens and is covered in well maintained gravel.
