You'll be nestled in a cozy guesthouse in the middle of a 112-acre sheep farm in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, complete with an iconic Big Red Barn. Farm activities takes place daily, from border collies to beehives.

Authenticity and space are what stands out for our guests. We are a true working farm: not a petting zoo who adds a few cute critters as an attraction. Depending on the day, we may be rounding up hundreds of sheep with the border collies, checking lambs, moving fences and pigs, sorting and weighing sheep, or monitoring beehives. We are happy to answer your questions about farming and farm life. You are welcome to help, or observe, or anything in between. This is, after all, your vacation!

By space, I mean 112 acres of pastures and woods to roam around. We are blessed to live in a picturesque area with stunning 360 degree views. Deer and wild turkeys abound. Because we farm organically and do not use chemicals, our fields are filled with lovely butterflies and bird life. Every trip out the front door is a nature study.

Everyone's talking these days about buying local and sustainable agriculture. That is what we have been doing since 1994 (since before it was cool!). All our lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, and honey are sold directly to local families who put down deposits with us and come to the farm to pick up their order. This gives our daily workload a tremendous sense of purpose. The cold midnight lamb checks...the busy days when the To Do is overwhelming....even the tedious office work that comes with any business....in our minds we see our customers and their families gathered round the dinner table enjoying our good meats.

But all work and no play is no recipe for success. The friendly horses you'll meet are the fun side of our life. We love the sport of endurance riding, and do some fox hunting in the fall. We are not set up and insured for giving rides to the public because I know for a fact that would mean no time for personal riding. But we can give you the name of a nearby stable who gives trail rides to the public.
