The Casita At Purradise
Kanab, Utah
Billions of stars glitter across the night sky. Devoid of any pollution, stargazing out here is unlike anywhere else. Morning doves sing with the rising sun. The break of dawn illuminates the red and white cliffs of Purradise.
The Casita at Purradise is set on five acres of beautiful high desert, bordered by Pinyon Pines and brush. This unique ecosystem has a mixture of plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. Desert tortoises, bobcats, lizards, and golden eagles all take refuge in the Red Cliffs of Utah.
We built our Casita a short drive away from the Best Friends Animal Society. This unique sanctuary is the largest no-kill animal shelter in the U.S., expanding across 33,000 acres. Home to 2,000 animals, they all live within the majestic desert canyon. We are strong animal advocates, volunteering and working for Best Friends Animal Society.
Part of what makes our Casita so special are the natural hiking trails and vast desert views. Our guests can hike trails right from the front porch, leading to thousands of acres of public land. Our guests often return to this desert oasis throughout the year because of the peace and quiet.
We are committed to preserving our environment and we recycle as much as possible (paper, glass, metal, and plastic). We generate most of our energy via solar, electric, and thermal systems. If you would like to see any of our equipment, please ask. We are happy to share our sustainable efforts.
