Rest up, because there's plenty to see in the delightful seaside village of Niantic. Its main street runs right along Long Island Sound, lined with boutiques, antiques, a bookstore, a hometown movie theater, restaurants and pubs. Immerse yourself in the region's rich maritime history at two terrific museums, the Connecticut River Museum and Mystic Seaport, both within a half hour of the campground. Other area attractions include the Mystic Aquarium and two casinos.
