Lagier Ranches Camp
A single campsite in an organic cherry orchard with western view through the vineyard to Mount Diablo.
Lagier Ranches is a family-owned, 4th generation, 80-acre working farm located in the San Joaquin Valley on the way to Yosemite from the Bay Area. We grow almonds, citrus, table grapes and cherries. The campsite is tucked into the organic cherries and mandarins, with a view of Mount Diablo through the vineyard to the west. The following amenities are provided for campers free of charge: bedding and pillows for two; a Coleman 2-burner propane stove (propane provided), cookware, plates and utensils; firewood and fire starters; and a lantern.
This campsite is easily accessible, just off Highway 120 on the way to Yosemite, with lots to do in the surrounding areas should you choose to venture off-site! Go kayaking in Stockton, 20 minutes away; hike Dry Tree Trail in Modesto, 25 minutes away, or the Majestic Oaks Loop Trail in Ripon 15 minutes away; or treat yourself to one of the many restaurants in Manteca!
While you are here we would be happy to take you on a tour of the farm and our packing shed. An animal visit is always fun. We have geese, chickens, donkeys, dogs and cats who are always happy to greet visitors. You can pet the donkeys, dogs and cats, while the geese and chickens can be a little standoffish.
A visit to the 1/2 mile long native pollinator hedgerow along the almond orchard is also available. The hedgerow was created to provide shelter and food for the native bees, insects and animals of our region.
No matter what you decide to do while you're here, come unplug and unwind at Lagier Ranches!
