Blue Hen Farm
Dunnellon, Florida
Visit us here at Blue Hen Farm! A perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Feed the animals, pick some garden veggies, or take a trail walk in the woods. Play some darts, strum a guitar, make cheese.
Good food, good company, good conversation. Or just relax, enjoy the quiet and solitude of our natural setting. Use us as a home base while you visit the other special attractions in the area.
We live, work, and play on an 11-acre homestead on the Northwest coast of Florida. We raise or grow our own food and feed for our animals. We have hogs, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, quail, turkeys, rabbits, and tilapia.
We offer accommodations for up to 10 guests in our Lost Arts House, tiny house, and a vintage travel trailer. Choose your accommodations based on the number of people coming.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm at their leisure, the Barnyard, the Henyards, Hatchery, Veggie Gardens, Herb Garden, and Walking Trail.
The Tiny Tilly houses the Library with Internet and a large collection of DVD movies.
The Lost Arts House offers laundry facilities, 2 full baths, workshop spaces, a full kitchen, and a den with a fireplace.
The Workshop Tiny House has a summer kitchen on the back deck and two resident goats in the back pasture for company. The Workshop sleeps 2, with overflow sleeping for 3 more guests in the Tilly-on-Wheels vintage travel trailer.
Guided Farm-Tours and Demos are included with the Stay. Demos are scheduled during the season. Guests can try their hand at some of the "lost" artisan crafts: making cheese, fermenting veggies, spinning, weaving, storytelling, and writing.
