I have spent a good chunk of my life in Tahoe and it never gets old. Squaw is the mountain of all mountains as far as I am concerned, but the Tahoe basin offers so much more than just skiing or snowboarding. I have a local friend that I go shooting with in the Boca rec area between Truckee and Reno. The lake is freezing all year round, but is one of the most breath taking sights on Earth. And if nature is not enough for you, there's always a casino or bar within a short distance.
