Hike Buffalo Trace Trail

Cave River Valley Trail is a 3.3 mile loop hike that takes you past wildlife located near Campbellsburg, Indiana.

This is one of my favorite options for a quick weekend backpacking trip near Louisville. The trail forms a figure eight around 2 lakes - Indian Lake and and Lake Celina. The Leonard Springs Nature Loop is a 1.1 mile loop hike features a waterfall. This hike near Bloomington is well-hike and relatively easy to follow and is dog-friendly.

This trail is rated as moderate and is a hot spot for hiking and fishing. Note that there are certain sections of the trail that have steep inclines, narrow paths, and rocky areas.
