Hidden in the woods of Beulah Park Nature Area is one of my favorite single track bike trails! Great for mountain biking and BMX as well as hiking!

Built and maintained by a local bike shop and bike club, the approx. 5 miles of winding trails offers a little something for everyone! From paved scenic bike trails to single track trails with log runs and bridges and epic table jumps. On the south end there is a BMX section with more jumps and geared towards BMX style biking. While these trails are made for biking, its a fantastic place for a little hiking as well, and in the winter throw on the snowshoes and have a blast! and the best part is it's completely free! although I would add if you need any gear while you're out be sure to stop into the local bike shop, they are always great and have anything you might need!

Hike the Glacial Park Loop Trail

Glacial Park is located in McHenry County Conservation District, near Richmond, Illinois. The park features prairies, a flowing river, and over 40 endangered plant and animal species. The park is open for hikers, horseback riders, fishers, and those wishing to canoe. Glacial Park is part of the Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge. The trail allows dogs that are kept on leash.
