Two Mouth Lakes

Start at Two Mouth Trail #268 as it goes north along an old logging road. The trail then heads west following Peak Creek before bending back to the south. The trail narrows, alternating between dirt and boardwalk, while meandering west toward a viewpoint of the giant granite slabs of the Selkirk Crest. Cooks Lake located near Bonners Ferry, Idaho is a great destination for relaxing or bringing your fishing pole (whether fly fishing or using a spin rod -- don't forget your fishing license). You're able to gain access very close access to the lake (especially on quads or side by sides) or you can park and walk roundtrip 1/3 mile to the lake.  This is a great spot to bring the whole family.

To get to the trailhead, drive north on highway 95 from Sandpoint and turn left onto Pack River Road near the gas station.
