Description

One of the most stunning waterfalls in Iceland. This waterfall is slightly off the beaten track so you get away from the crowds for a bit and may even have the waterfall to yourself.

From the parking lot there is a clear path down to the waterfall. At the start of the trail there is a picnic table which would be a great place to stop for a snack. From the picnic table continue downhill until you see the waterfall on the right. After only a few minutes of walking you'll begin to see the waterfall on your right. You can continue further downhill to get other angles. This waterfall is a great break from all the crowds that you'll find around the rest of the major waterfalls.

The Geyser, Strokkur, has a small rest stop built around it and after parking, you will walk about five minutes north of the road.
