Our beach yoga session is an authentic India trained Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, grounded under the umbrella of hatha yoga's roots in a 5000 year tradition. Ashtanga is the yoga of Patanjali, the compiler of the Yoga Sutras. Ashtanga yoga is a favorite among athletes and those active; it is the base of of the Vinyasa style, increasingly becoming the most popular style overall as it provides for a blend of fluidity and strength, turning static asanas in to dynamic flows that provide consistency in working on all your muscle groups and proper alignment. Mostly, Ashtangas fluidity and unison with breath in movements allows for yoga to be a meditative process, which among many other benefits, has shown to decrease the risk of heart attacks in recent studies, among its many other mental benefits to overcome mental challenges. We aim to transfer and sustain the original teachings of these time proven methods and philosophies.

The class is geared towards beginners, but provides many modifications for those experienced in yoga. Those that come range from the very in-flexible, of all job types (desk workers, military, firefighters, surfers, at-home moms and active grandmas) - to the flexible and experienced.

The beach yoga sessions are conducted on a grassy area right as the sun falls into the waters edge or as morning sets our place in the world.....overlooking oahu's beautiful and most central beaches of Honolulu. We come each session to hold the space for you to feel the warmth and loving energy of nature and the like minded, good spirited people that feel the importance of working to better themselves.
