Watch the Sunrise at Daytona Beach

Ponce Inlet, Florida

Description

Added by Erika Johnson

The East Coast gets to see some gorgeous sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean, and Daytona Beach is no exception! Ponce Inlet is a hidden gem with its secluded location, viewing spot, easy beach access, off-beach parking and fine white sand that stretches on for days.

Ponce Inlet is a beautiful and secluded Florida beach peninsula at the southern end of Daytona Beach. Easy beach access and a small public parking lot is available at the intersection of Inlet Harbor Rd and S Atlantic Ave.

Watching the sun come up at Ponce Inlet is the perfect early-morning adventure for any season. You'll definitely want to look up the predicted sunrise time in advance, and plan to get to the beach 30-45 minutes before to enjoy the full glory of the sunrise.

If you're still not ready to go home after watching the sunrise, walking up and down the beach a few times, taking a swim and tanning - you can find the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse just a few blocks away (for you history buffs out there).
