Yosemite National Parks best sunset view

Amazing sunset views

By: Eric Alcala + Save to a List

When visiting the beautiful Yosemite National Park, you can set out to hike dozens of different trails. They range from short easy strolls to strenuous all day events.  After completing every trail the park has to offer, I've found that the best place to watch a sunset is a place that only takes 5 minutes to walk up.  This place is hidden and not known to most visitors because it isn't located on any of the maps.  Every time I visit the valley I make sure to catch a sunset in this spot that is located just above the tree line in a place known as the "devils bathtub."  This locals only spot boasts a great panorama view of the entire valley as well as a natural hot tub like pool of water created by the run off from Yosemite Falls.  I pack my hammock, a couple beverages, and some snacks and kick back away from the crowds down below.
