Hocking Hills

Amazing any time of year.

By: Emma Simone + Save to a List

In late October, on Sunday the 30th, Austin and I woke up early and drove down to Hocking Hills. We arrived

Looking out from Old Man's Cave!

around 9am, the drive was a breeze and we got a great parking spot. We started out at Old Man's Cave - last time we went on a Saturday there were so many people we couldn't enjoy it - and then hiked the  trail that lead to Cedar Falls. We came across a few other early bird photographers as well, but aside from that it was very peaceful and low with traffic. After taking a break and admiringly Cedar Falls, we hiked back to our car, and ate our packed lunches! Then we drove to a few other attractions and hiked some more, realizing rain was on the way, we headed home.

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
