Kings Canyon road is open for business.

The road is Open

By: Ed Morris + Save to a List

My lazy day hike area is increasing in traffic. Today, three four wheel drive vehicles made it over the old slide area that some one had been working on for a couple years now to make it passable again. As I walked back up the road and the three 4x4s drove down it, I was only a few minutes later passed by one jeep going up and 15 minutes after that, one Toyota Tacoma. The road has also been marked in places for what looks like a soon to be Mountain Bike Run as can be read at Carson Now, which took place this weekend. My mind spends more time in the mountains than it does reading online.  The road in this section is tight for full size pickups.

The Mountain Race article can be read, here. https://carsonnow.org/story/06...
