WATCH: StateScapes, Nevada

By: Derrick Lytle + Save to a List

Nevada, stark empty deserts, big cold mountains, and abstract desert artwork. Growing up in southern Nevada I experienced all of this and it grew on me. I crave it. I love dark hot summer nights sleeping under the glowing sky of Gold Butte and hiking the big snowy peaks of the Ruby Mountain with only the mountain goats to keep me company. I created this time-lapse short to show the love I have for my home state and to show others that there is more to Nevada than the streets of Las Vegas.

These three minutes are a futile attempt to show the amazing people and landscapes of The Silver State.
