Germany is the third popular locations among international students to study in the world. Over 12% of students in German universities have more overseas to have the opportunity to study in some of the best universities. Not only are German university degrees highly preferred by employers, Germany itself is home to a number of diverse landscapes. There are a number of German International Removals available to arrange your home removals and transportation to Germany so you don’t have to. Read out 6 reasons why you should study in Germany below.

  • Top quality study
  • Gain an internationally recognised degree
  • Unmissable job opportunities
  • You can study in English
  • Stay in Germany after you graduate

Universities in Germany are ranked among some of the best in the world. Better yet, higher education routes are mainly funded by the German state, so you’ll be spending next to nothing to study there. The system is made up of over 400 institutions which are divided into multiple public “tuition free” institutions that now fund over 2.4 million students across the country.

Unlike universities elsewhere, all universities now work under the Bologna reform to ensure all students receive their well-deserved unified degree. But – there’s a catch. If you decide to study medicine, law or pharmacy in Germany, you will be exempted. Although you will still be taught using the traditional method of teaching, you will face a state exam at the end of your study. Expect to be at university for longer too, as these courses last a couple more semesters than the average bachelor’s degree does.

Germany is home to a number of great job opportunities. Better yet, it’s easy for students to find a job. Despite no requirement to pay for your tuition fees, you’ll need to find a way of supporting yourself whilst studying. Luckily, you won’t have to face a number of applications unless you are a non-EU student. Non-EU students seeking work abroad must apply for a work permit and are only legally able to work 190 full days or 240 half days on an annual basis.

You don’t need to be able to speak German to study in Germany. In fact, since English further education opportunities are so broad in Germany, available at undergraduate and graduate level, you can get you degree without even needing to sit a class in German. From medicine to agricultural sciences, no matter what you want to study, the language barrier is the least important aspect you need to worry about.

Once you finish your studies, you’ll be given the opportunity to stay in the country and find permanent work after you graduate from university. As an international graduate, this means that you’ll be able to stay in Germany for a further 18 months, which is enough time to settle down if you wish to do so. Compared to other countries, Germany is one of the safest in the world and offers both economic and political stability which makes it a perfect place to study.
