Connecticut Coast in Winter

East Lyme, Connecticut

Description

Added by Stephanie Bianco

Dreaming of the beach on a beautiful day in the middle of winter.

This state park provides well marked directions with signs posted along the road how to get to the beach.

Once you enter the park you go through the main gate. In-season their will be a small fee. Follow the road past the numerous camp sites and past a small  marsh. Veer to the right when the road splits and you will encounter a large parking lot with plenty of space for the summer season

The state park provides bathrooms, changing rooms and concessions stands (in-season). You will walk under the train tracks to get to the shore. To the right you will encounter the semi rocky cost and to the left is about 2 miles of beach. You are allowed to fish off of the rocks.

Small, fun beach to explore on a beautiful day if in the area.
