Visit a beautiful 100 ft waterfall surround by the beautiful San Juan mountains of Southern Colorado. It is a very easy path to the falls only minutes from the highway. For a 'ture waterfall' experience, venture up to the misty deck at the base of the falls.
Treasure Falls is reached via short .4 mile walk from the parking lot on highway 160 about 15 miles outside Pagosa Springs (which is home to the worlds deepest hot springs). There is a paved path and dirt trail that both end up at the falls and if you are inclined, make into a loop. There is a bridge that crosses the creek just below the falls or you can continue up a couple hundred feet to the misty deck at the base of the falls. It can be crowded but most only visit for a short time. You can view the falls from the parking lot but it is worth the effort to walk to the falls itself.

In winter this bad boy freezes over completely leaving a gnarly jagged ice formation that stands a hundred feet tall. Very impressive and the short hike is usually tracked out with a good trail.
