Description

A short drive into the Poudre canyon and a short enough hike to catch a sunset on top.

Starting at the Greyrock trail head which is just a few minutes inside of the Poudre canyon, this trail gets a lot of foot traffic. So a nice way to try and avoid that is to leave later in the day and arrive on top of Greyrock at sunset. This hike is my favorite around November when it is less trafficked and the weather is nice and cool. The trail is well marked and easy to follow, there is a split at the beginning and the fastest route is to take a right. A few miles later where you can see the rock there is one more split where the best way to take for hiking it quickly is a right as well. Once at the top just watch the show. It will probably be dark and cold on your way down so be prepared.
