A cool hike in Rocky Mountain National Park with a little work and a whole lot of reward!
Driving through this park alone will satisfy any cravings for that picturesque Colorado scenery, but this hike has it all. As you hike through the forest you arrive at nymph lake first which provides a nice view of Longs Peak. The next lake you arrive at is Dream Lake where the views just keep getting better. The final ascent takes you up a little inlet for your arrival at Emerald Lake, a mountain lake in the deep bowl Tyndall Glacier. Only downside to this hike is the trailhead, it's the beginning for many other trails and tend to be quite busy so early morning starts are key.
