Description

This was a great place to snowshoe, they offered free snowshoe rentals to us at the lodge. The rangers said feel free to trail blaze around, the views of the black canyon were incredible.
Starting at the lodge/visitor center of the national park there are 2 trails that you can snowshoe on, a 4 mile trail and a shorter mile-ish trail. They are marked and easy to follow. Trailblazing was also an option, this was fun to get different angles of the black canyon. Starting at the lodge there is also a road that is closed off for cars to make it available for cross country skiing.
