-amazing views-create photography opportunities-pretty easy hiking-not too crowded
You start paralleling the Poudre River at a gradual incline until you get to a fork in the path about 3/4 of a mile in. You can go either way, I went to the right which I loved. You go up about 2,000 feet within about 3 miles. Throughout this three miles you are mostly in the trees passing a few small creeks. At points you can look over the canyon and it is incredible views. You come up to Greyrock Mountain which was pretty impressive. You then can climb up to the summit or rock climb the mountain. We then took the path to the left that took us to a beautiful open field where you could still see Greyrock. You then go up and around part of the hill to get to a top, which you then start the decline. After the open field we were confused when we kept going up, but don't worry, that's the right way. You then decline and have a great open view of the canyon. The whole hike is about 7 miles.
