Women's Alpha 60 Jacket

By: Christin Healey + Save to a List

This jacket performed amazingly on a winter jaunt to Rocky Mountain National Park last weekend. The hike up to Loche Valle is a relatively short (6 miles rt) trek, but in the winter, you are going straight uphill all the way to the lake, and you need a piece that keeps you warm and also lets you breath.

This jacket does both of those things beautifully. I never got sweaty going up, and when the 60 mph winds hit up at at the lake, the only thing cold were my hands (which are always hopeless!). It blocked the wind and errant snow beautifully. Did I mention the color? This is my first every article of pink clothing, but who would resist "Disco Pink"! Super fun, and all the options were good.

I would say size down on this as the piece runs large for sure - even with layers my normal size was a bit too big. Especially as winter turns to spring in the mountains, this will be my go-to piece!
