My old backpack was getting beat up from use, and I was looking for a good alternative for my recent trip to Lyngen, Norway. Through my research, I landed upon Eagle Creek’s Wayfinder 30L Backpack, that’s very well thought out and works great for international travel and daily use.

Eagle Creek’s Wayfinder is a 30-Liter backpack that has plenty of room to store all of your necessities like books, sunglasses, laptop, phone, camera, backup batteries, cables, water bottle, passport, jacket, pillow, toiletry case, snacks, and more! And it fits nicely under the seat on your flight!

The attention to detail on the Wayfinder is fantastic. All of the zippers are exceptionally well thought out. For example, the waterproof laptop zipper has a little toggle that fits through an eyelet and acts as a lock. The main compartment zippers can be locked, and there’s a small hidden zipper along the back to store your passport and phone. This pocket also has a handy cable port to feed your headphone cables through the top of the pack.

I also love the fact that they lined the interior with a bright color. For me, this serves two purposes; first it makes it easy to see if your backpack is open, and second, it makes it easy to know what you have inside your bag instead of the traditional black lining.

I love the stretchy fabric on the side pocket. It’s similar to my backpacking pockets and is very stretchy - I can easily fit a water bottle and snacks in the pocket without fear of them falling out. Lastly, the front of the pack has two attachment points up top and one down low in case you attach another small bag to it.

Are there any downsides to the pack? None that I have found yet. It’s served me well, and the more I use it, the more I appreciate all of the little details they paid particular attention to. Would I recommend the Eagle Creek Wayfinder 30L backpack? Without a doubt.
