The PCT: CA Section A - Campo to Warner Springs is a 104.5-mile stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail in California. This trail section begins in the small town of Campo and ends in Warner Springs, offering a variety of terrain and natural features. Hikers will traverse through chaparral-covered hills, oak woodlands, and high desert landscapes. The trail is moderately difficult, with some steep inclines and rocky paths. It's recommended for hikers with some experience and a good level of fitness. Along the way, you'll pass notable landmarks such as the 100-mile mark stone monument and Eagle Rock, a unique rock formation resembling an eagle in flight. There are several camping spots along the trail, including Lake Morena County Park and Mount Laguna. It's important to carry plenty of water, as sources can be scarce, especially in the desert sections. This trail section is best hiked in spring or fall to avoid extreme temperatures.
