Carlon Falls is accessed by an out-and-back trail from the Carlon Falls trailhead located near Groveland, California, and Yosemite National Park. The trailhead, located off of Highway 120, has vault toilets and picnic tables, but there is no running water here, so be sure to fill up your water bottles before heading out.
There are several swimming holes at Carlon Falls with the primary one being at the falls, where you can swim next to the 35-foot waterfall. Keep an eye out for additional deeper pools nearby that have smoothed rocks that work great as a seat.
Note: there are no pets or mountain bikes allowed on this trail or in the Yosemite Wilderness.
