Car camp at South Carlsbad State Beach

As far as the camping goes this is as easy as it gets. Pull up and pay for your stay. It was $50 a night. Then you pull your car into your spot and set up camp right ontop of the cliffs.

This campground has restrooms and showers. The shower operates on token that you can get in the campground store. You're also about a block away from a shopping center which is nice if you forget anything.

The beach is just down a flight of stairs. It is good for swimming, surfing & paddleboarding. You can rent a surfboard or boogy board from the campground store if you want.

When you're done playing at the beach just head back up to your campsite and crack open a cold beer if that's your style and get ready watch the sun go down over the water. After that you can sit by your campfire and listen to the waves crashing on the beach.

When getting in and out of the water be sure to do the stingray shuffle so you don't get stung. In the afternoon this is very important because they like to come up and sun themselves in the shallow water.
