Snorkle at Cooper Island
Route 2, British Virgin Islands
Description

Great Place for families and anyone looking for a relaxing time with good food and a fun place to snorkel.
When you pull into Cooper Islands mooring area you probably won't think its a snorkeling spot but its there. You will have to tie up to a mooring ball and then kayak, paddle board or take a dingy over to the snorkeling area. The snorkeling area is on the south side of the bay, and has three mooring balls. One is for a dive boat so don't take them all. You can snorkel all around and even go around the point, but I warn you after you round the point you're in open ocean and it gets a lot more rough. I have seen a vast variety of fish and even some squid, so keep your eyes open there is a lot to see. The island is also a great place to spend that night and serves great food if you go to shore. Also a possibly place to stay on land if that is more your cup of tea.
If you're looking into a trip to the islands and want a boat because this spot and every other island are only accessible by boat I would recommend you look into MarineMax Vacations. They have a great selection of trips and boat sizes. If you work with MarineMax vacations they partner with Sail Caribbean divers and through them you have the option to rent kayaks and paddle boards along with dive gear. Its a very easy way to get all your stuff though one company and it will be waiting on the boat when you get there. I recommend this company and have used them before, its a great way to see the islands and great spots like this.
There is a small Sail Caribbean dives hut on the island if you go to shore. Does not carry a lot of gear due to its not the mains store, but enough that you can probably find what you need or something to get by.
If renting a boat isn't your thing and you stay on land there are also water taxis so you can still get out on the water. Almost any water taxi will take you here but i recommend dolphin shuttle, they again are good company I have used and liked.
