The river Semois is more than 125 miles of easy streaming water from Belgium into France, beautiful nature, different campgrounds. You can paddle a few hours or a few days.

Started as a legal campground, La Rosiere in Florenville. The water level was so low that it was temporarily forbidden for kayaks. After a full night of rain it was allowed to kayak so I packed all my gear in my inflatable Sevylor pointer K2 and started paddling downstream. The water was easy, level 1 and 2, lots of birds around and some small mammals. The next 2 nights I've been wild camping close to the river in areas without pads or roads. Didn't see or hear any other persons. Wild camping is not allowed but nobody there to catch me. Paddling a few hours each day and making short hikes around my camp. Every night the impressive sounds of the red deer. i did end this trip close to bouillon. Best time to go, end of sept. start of oct.
