Hatcher Pass is a great recreational spot in the Talkeetna Mountains of Alaska. The area is filled with miles of hiking and biking trails in the summer, and cross-country skiing trails in the winter. One of the most popular places to visit in Hatcher Pass is Independence Mine, a gold mine that was built in 1934.
