Hike To Little River Falls

Fort Payne, Alabama

Description

Added by Emily Walls

A long hike rewarded with jumping off the rocks into the water!SecludedBeautiful, blue-green waterCamping is available at Little RIver Canyon

There are multiple hiking spots at Little River Canyon. At the Canyon, I hiked a very difficult trail running along the edge of the river. After, I drove down to the Martha's (Little RIver) Falls and hiked a short, but difficult, trail down to the water. There are three places to jump off, but make sure you ask a local what they are. The swimming hole, known as the "Hippie Hole" is mainly accessed by locals; it is not much of a tourist trap. The water was absolutely beautiful and not dirty. Camp sites are available at Little RIver Canyon, but I only went for the day.
