The 2 mile hike in is pretty mellow even on snowshoes. It's way less of an elevation gain if you're just heading to the bottom of the gulch where the old mining town is. Amazing place to catch a winter sunrise!

Hike to Bridalveil Fall

This spring the falls were raging after having a favorable winter, the rivers all around were swollen with snowmelt. The earlier start the better with this popular trail. A modest elevation climb but the stone steps provide some easy traversing. Just be sure to walk with a sure foot as the steps can be wet from the mist of the waterfall.
