Dog friendly and off-leash for the majority of the trail, which is nice. Weekday morning is fairly empty so it was pretty peaceful. Took French Trail back to West Ridge and there were many steep uphill sections. Whew! I took a lot of pauses to catch my breath. Tip: there is a water fountain at the head of West Ridge Trail in the parking lot. Fill up if the day feels like it's going to be a warm one.
