June 23-24, 2022, Ozark National Forest. Great family campground on a cold Arkansas creek with a fishing hole and bluff to jump into water - 10' deep at the deepest. Campground small and easy walk to swimming area. Group campground in separate area just down camp with a second beautiful swimming hole. Also a small trout lake and short hike to beautiful waterfall. In rainy season falls must be spectacular. Hiking & MTB trails nearby, also Blanchard Springs Caverns when it opens back up - white nose disease in bats has it closed currently. Mountain View and Ozark Folk Center (Arkansas State Park) 15 miles away as well as White River for fishing. Campsite small with showers and flush toilets. $15/day. Busy in the summer with family reunions and lots of kids swimming. If you're looking for isolation not the place, but for family & kid time really nice.

Cannot beat this hike for a family, regardless of age.
