Great nature hike from Herring point in the Park. Great boardwalk. Go south 2..7 Miles inland to the pavilion at the Gordon’s pond lot. Nice place for snack or lunch. Lots of birds and deer on the trail. Take binoculars. In June you might see terrapins laying eggs. When you are done relaxing go out to the beach and head back to Herring point along the Atlantic Ocean. Hike early. It can get crowded and hot in the summer afternoon. The hike back is only 2 miles. Great 4.7 mile circuit hike. You get the pine forest, salt marsh, and the ocean.
