I’ve been camping at Cache Mt. in various spots for 40 years. We used to be able to drive many of the roads that are now looking more like trails. If you get up to the top you’ll see the old fire lookout foundation - views just as good as on black butte.

A nice easy trail for beginners or those wishing to take a nice stroll with friends. Park at the west boat launch at the end of the road, then the lodge will be your halfway point.
