The trail features beautiful wild flowers, a waterfall, and scenic forest views.
The Falls Creek Loop is a 4.1 mile trail in the San Juan National Forest, just outside of Durango, Colorado. Lots of side trails jut out from the main trail, and it is easy to lose your way. Take the middle trail at the first split, and keep following the main splits. You will find yourself on a steep downhill, which will lead to views of the waterfall.
The trail is good for all skill levels, and is recommended for use from April to October. The trail is shared by hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners.

Hike the Falls Creek Loop Reviews
We were there in October and the weather was perfect for a brisk hike! The leaves were starting to turn in the surrounding areas and the views were stunning! It could use more signs but the hiking apps help! There is a steep down hill area but it’s only a short portion of the trail.

Wonderful hike, however there is no marking and plenty of different small paths to take. I’m sure all of them are beautiful, but would be easy to get lost.
