The Augusta Canal aqueduct is a great place for friends and family alike to kick back and relax. As a local, I have visited this place quite often to eno and relax with a good book above the small waterfall. The area is perfect for couples who want a peaceful afternoon; however, beware the weekend, families with screaming children tend to enjoy flocking here on summer days. Fun tip: there is a local rope swing further back. To get there, cross the railroad track an 1/8th of a mile up from the aqueduct and follow the dirt path. Keep an eye out for snakes and stick to the right fork of the trail. It's about a half-mile back and definitely worth the adventure.
