Hard to give a truthful depiction. Beautiful trail, filled with steep ups and downs, both open trail and log stairs. But we thought it would be fine because it snowed the past few days, nope very very muddy. We will be back to try this trail again! :) Also note: we did the full salt trail and my activity tracker said we went 3.74 miles. Will be interested to see what other hikers measure it at!
