Francisco Moctezuma Villa

You can read on different sites that the drive is not worth it, so we don't think so, we drove from San Antonio, TX to Austin and we found Vince Hanneman art pretty interesting, there is a lot to see, is nearly ~60 tons of junk, the place is safe to walk even with kids, you have to take care of them of course but is a lot of fun for the little ones as well, it's really fun to explore as a family, Vince is really kind and open we actually brought our dog to the Cathedral, we planned a family weekend in Austin, and we started here :D, great choice to understand Austin motto. Make sure first to call Vince and make an appointment.

We visited Enchanted Rock in November 2016, weather was great, we were able to climb up to the summit with our 2.5 years old daughter, we had a great time, landscape is amazing, the ride from San Antonio is worthy, bring a lot of water and some snacks, also save some energy to drive back. :)

This is a great place to try something different, if you like to take an small adventure and walk an small trail this is the place, I took my 2 years old daughter and our english bulldog with us, make sure you have enough water and some snacks with you, we had a great family time. Water is crystal clear, and there is plenty of space to enjoy of nature. But be prepare to walk!, the hardest to get here with a toddler is that they are exhausted after to play two hours in the water so the way back will be a challenge.

This is an amazing spot for swimming and take great pictures, water is great for kids, this place remember me a little the Cenotes back in my country Mexico. Highly recommended!
