This hike is breathtaking. The views really open up once at the top of the mountain past the lake. You get a wonderful view of the mountains from the lake for some amazing photos. After a good snow they get better!
My roommate and I traveled from Florida to get to the Tetons. We timed it just right to get there in the middle of a snow storm. It enhanced the views in my opinion. The trail is a easy hike and doesn't gain much elevation, but when it's snowing can increase the difficulty. Trails get wet and muddy. But it is worth the trek up. The trail is clearly marked, so easy to follow. Be aware of wildlife because it does follow a water source.
