Description

Added by Marilla Havens

An easy hike to two beautiful mountain lakes.

This hike is best to do later in the evening or in the morning, as it's a pretty popular trailhead. Park at the Taggart Lake Trailhead, a few miles along the main road from the entry station at Moose Junction. There's bathrooms and a map at the start of the trail.

The trail is well-marked the whole way and begins as gravel. Cross a small stream and start to climb up some small hills to an overlook of Taggart Lake. Keep climbing and you'll soon see Bradley Lake on your right. It's easy to get down to the edge of the lake if you want to wade around or hang for a while. Keep following the path and it loops around through pine forest and meadows, passing Taggart Lake on the right. Both lakes provide a stunning foreground and reflection of the Tetons. It eventually loops back and reconnects with the beginning of the trail, creating a short lollipop loop. Follow the signs back to the trailhead.
