This backcountry campsite in Grand Teton National Park is only about 2 miles in, and it offers some of the most spectacular campsites you could ever hope for.
After you make the short trek around the lake to the campsite, you can see that this is one of the best campsites you will ever have. There is no elevation gain since you are just bordering the lake almost the entire time. The sites are spacious and provide flat tent spots, a fire pit, a large bear box, and a PRIVATE BEACH. Each of the sites are at least 500 feet away from each other, which makes them feel very private.
We stayed for 2 nights just enjoying our lack of service and the insanely beautiful views. We had some trees that were perfect for setting up a hammock. The water was extremely clear and chilly for swimming but still refreshing. The location was perfect for photography.
When we were heading out on our final morning, a father and son were heading in with the intention of staying a night and doing some fishing. This location offers a lot depending on what you make of it.
After such a peaceful few days, the 2 miles out go very quickly. We decided to indulge in giant burgers when we finished, but that is just a friendly suggestion!
